Just dreams… I really don’t know.

A writer I will never be, I am writing these experiences, mostly as a way for me to remember them. Do they mean anything more than just dreams…I really do not know and am not claiming them to be anything more than just that…dreams.

In 2006 a friend since childhood died after a short battle with the C word. One morning I awoke around 5am after dreaming about her visiting me and I felt she had died when I had awoken. She was with someone (seemed like someone showing her the way) in the dream and seemed to be visiting everyone from her lifetime. That morning her mother called and informed me that she had passed, it was not unexpected. The next day her father came over and told me that the hospital had called him yesterday very early in the morning that she had died.

A few weeks ago (July 2007) I was obsessively worried about a problem. One night during that period, I woke up in the middle of the night and experienced a warm soft light luminating, as well as a never before experienced kind of peace. Has that peacefull feeling remained…No.

A few night ago while I was sleeping I became really cold. My large Alaskan Malamute jumped up on my bed and lay beside to keep me warm. Then I awoke and wondered if it all had been a dream, as my dog had died more than a year and half ago

I joined SL in the Fall of 2006 and it has taken me almost a year to start something that I hope will be beneficial to others as well as myself. I do prefer RL meetings and think they are the best approach, but hopefully this AA meeting will fill some kind of void, or is used as an added tool in the program. Now that most of us are heading into Autumn and the colder months, I hope that those who cannot for whatever reason in RL join us. I have often found myself home alone reading another grapevine or again the “Big Book” and wishing I had not been lazy or had been able to get to a RL meeting. I hope this helps.

The best way to earn money within Secondlife is to build a good solid reputation, whether you be a landbaron, or a small business owner. Long term avatars create a well known name for themselves and yes word of mouth (and soon voice) does get around in SL. Of course there will always be those who will do anything for a buck, but they disappear quickly and end up paying yet again for another membership for their new avatar. Some people can afford to do this, but no founding business reputation is ever achieved.

Secondlife is leading the way.

Big Business’ are now entering the new frontier of Virtual Worlds. It will be the successful companies that realize old marketing strategies no longer apply in this new realm.
Secondlife is going to change the internet, as 3D web sites will one day become the norm. The basic photo and text sites we see today will soon pass into history. Soon we will be virtually interacting online with business. SL and its continually evolving technology have only just started, what is now the future of internet.
